Big In Japan s/s 2007

Inspiration comes from the ancient japanese culture and the traditional asian way of dressing, combined with a romantic and artistic feeling and a flirt with 80s' fashion. "Big" is also referring to the comfortable silhouette that is visible throughout the collection. The styles are clean and simple, more or less organized pleats and generous cutting creates shape and volume. The kimono and the way it is worn has been the source of inspiration to many models, even details such as v-necks and loosely hanging ribbons originates from this garment.

The collection can be described as Japanese costume in a Scandinavian interpretation. The materials are rough irish linen, denim, shiny polyester, viscose jersey and cotton voile in the colours cream, pale blue, light blue, indigo and bright pink.
